ISO Workforce Alliance is partnering with a highly regarded charter school in Chicago, Illinois, to hire a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist for the upcoming school year. Position Summary
The School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services that support students’ academic achievement, social-emotional development, and overall well-being. Responsibilities include conducting psychoeducational evaluations, participating in special education eligibility meetings, developing recommendations, consulting with school staff, and collaborating with families to ensure students receive appropriate supports and services.
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
• Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, legally compliant evaluation reports.
• Participate as an active member of IEP and multidisciplinary teams.
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and intervention strategies.
• Support the implementation of MTSS/RTI and other evidence-based intervention models.
• Provide behavioral and social-emotional recommendations to improve student outcomes.
• Assist with crisis intervention and student support planning as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Illinois State Board of Education requirements.
• Collaborate with related service providers and school leadership to promote positive educational outcomes.
Qualifications
• Master’s, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement.
• Experience in a K–12 school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, special education procedures, and Illinois regulations.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
